A Classic Wedding Buffet By Hog Roast Stonehaven

Recently, the Hog Roast Stonehaven team were hired by a local couple for their beautiful wedding. They were hosting their fantastic wedding at ‘The Barn’ in Banchory, Scotland. They had 115 guests attending the ceremony, all of which required a fantastic meal. The food was served as a buffet to the guests and the team did a fantastic job of presenting the food as the salads provided some great colours. To ensure that all of the food tasted fresh, the team cooked all of the buffet on site using local ingredients.

Hog Roast StonehavenThe service began with a selection of canapes including Dim Sum, grilled fillets of beef served with Salsa Verde Encroute, halloumi and caramelised onion kebabs and smoked salmon on fresh brown bread with a lemon wedge. The canapes were presented by the Hog Roast Stonehaven team’s servers and went down a treat with the guests. For the main meal, the guests had a choice of main meals of either spit roasted pig, which was served with apple sauce, stuffing and crispy crackling, or tender lamb seasoned with rosemary and served with mint and a delicious mustard and dill sauce. The meats were served with a tomato and mozzarella salad, a Thai salad and roast potatoes. The hot food was kept warm in metal trays to ensure that the food could be served throughout the early evening. The food was served on porcelain plates with metal cutlery to give the service a more luxurious feel. After the buffet, the stunning wedding cake was served to the guests with pouring cream and strawberries.

The Hog Roast Stonehaven team were led by their Catering Manager, Steven, who ensured that all of the food looked and tasted fantastic. He also ensured that all of his team were on top of the service and that they could easily make the service time of 4:30pm. The team had arrived served hours before the service to ensure that everything was ready on time to fit into the wedding schedule. The team served the food from the buffet table and the guests were overjoyed by the food.
