With the rush of Christmas parties over where we were hog roasting every week throughout the festive season mostly in Edinburgh, January is usually a time to prepare for the year ahead with servicing hog roast machines and getting things ship shape on the farm for the year ahead.
Throughout January we have been busy with a hog roast in Leith for a 40th birthday party at Heriots Rugby Club. This was a frosty night and we were glad of the hog roast machine to keep us warm in our gazebo! We also had a hire of a machine and supply of pig to go to a large country house near Leith that was rented for the weekend for a large family gathering. Both hog roast Leith events went very well and we had lots of compliments about the tasty pork which is nice to see the quality of our free range pigs coming through and customers noticing the difference in our slow roasted pulled pork.
