Hog Roast Killin Explains Scotland’s Roadmap Out Of Lockdown

Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, all four nations have taken a vastly different approach to lockdown rules, and to that effect each, and every COVID-19 roadmap also looks very different. In Scotland, things are now slowly getting back to normal, starting on the 2nd of April when we saw an end to the stay at home order.

But with more changes still to come, we know that many of you have been struggling to make heads or tails of the latest announcements, especially in regards to rules surrounding events and celebrations – and so, we’re here to help! Saving you from tuning in every Tuesday afternoon or the legwork of trawling through the government website, we’ve put together a predicted timetable based on current information, which details Hog Roast Killin’s availability at each stage. Remember, though, this outline is contingent on many factors, and as of yet, nothing is set in stone.

Stage 1 – 26th April

Rules applying to the ”stay local” order will be lifted, allowing people to travel outwith their local council area and make unrestricted journeys within mainland Scotland. Weddings and funerals can commence at this point with up to 50 guests – Hog Roast Killin can provide a gourmet meal delivery, machine rental or in-person catering.

Stage 2 – 17th May

Four people from 2 households can meet indoors or in a public space, and restrictions on hospitality will further ease, allowing for small-scale indoor and outdoor events to take place (guest limits for these are currently unknown). Similar to the previous phase, we will be able to deliver a delicious meal or cater for your get-together as usual. Or, if you’re interested in a DIY serve, we can equip you with one of our hog-roasting machines.

Stage 3 – Early June (Date Not Yet Provided)

The First Minister has indicated that Scotland will be able to move down to Level 1 at the beginning of June, and by the end of June, the country will be without any restrictions. Hog Roast Killin will return to full capacity, with no limitations on the services we can provide.
