Lauren turned 21 in 2022 and chose to celebrate the occasion by hosting a formal meal for her close friends and family to enjoy. To mark her entrance into adulthood, she felt that this was the event to enjoy, since a three-course meal is definitely a suitable formal celebration. She contacted our catering manager Steve to discuss menu options for the occasion, before deciding on our formal dining package.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Balfron team arrived in advance of the 7:00pm mealtime, giving ourselves plenty of time to prepare and cook each course. The menu began with a homemade soup of the day, served alongside fresh bread rolls and butter. This is a versatile starter that always goes down well with guests.
Following this, we prepared a slow roasted hog, which was accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For vegetarians, we also provided BBQ pulled jackfruit. The mains were served with a selection of seasonal vegetables, as well as homemade chips.
To finish the menu, Hog Roast Balfron prepared a selection of gourmet desserts, including profiteroles and cheesecake. Each dish was served with English cream and fresh fruit, creating a course that looked and tasted extraordinary!
