As much as we all want our events to run smoothly without a single hiccup in sight, Hog Roast Troon has been in the hospitality sector long enough to know that no matter how well you plan your event, things can still go wrong on the day. From sudden weather changes and traffic delays to guests showing up late and so much more, there are many things that can take your event off course.
But the trick isn’t figuring out how to predict all of these problems beforehand and then trying to control the outcome. No, the key is to make sure that you have people you can trust in your corner to handle these unforeseen circumstances as and when they arise.
No one is better at doing this than Hog Roast Troon’s caterers. Our team has proven time and again that they can roll with the punches and still execute flawless dining plans, even when the conditions aren’t what our customers or clients had in mind.
And let’s face it, anyone can make a delicious meal when the circumstances are perfect – that’s easy! The reason that we are among Scotland’s most-trusted mobile catering services is that we handle each hiccup with professionalism and finesse, which often means our guests, and sometimes even the hosts, are none the wiser.
Last week, for instance, our catering manager, Steve, showcased Hog Roast Troon’s ability to tackle unexpected problems when he and the team arrived to help Orla and Sean celebrate their nuptials. The pair had opted for an outdoor wedding reception, but at the last minute, the skies opened up to reveal a heavy rainstorm.
The couple was saddened by the turn of events and were about to take their celebrations indoors, but they needn’t have worried. Steve had brought along one of our marquees. And to prevent the wind from adding an extra hour or so to the cooking time, Hog Roast Troon turned the serving station to face a different direction.
Hog Roast Troon’s quick thinking meant that Orla and Sean’s day continued (mostly) as planned, and just as quickly as the rain came pouring down, it disappeared again a few hours later!
