Hog Roast Cockburnspath Had A Very Busy September Weekend!

Marking the beginning of autumn and giving parents, pupils and teachers alike the chance to unwind and relax, the September weekend was the perfect way to round off the month, and many did so with low-key family gatherings and intimate events.

Of course, Hog Roast Cockburnspath had the pleasure of assisting with several of these affairs across the 4-day period, and one that stands out to us was Lucy’s cosy get-together.

The client is renowned for hosting parties whenever the opportunity arises, so in the weeks leading up to the September weekend, she made sure to reach out to Hog Roast Cockburnspath and organise something special for her family.

After taking a look through our menu options and discussing her vision with our catering manager, Steve, Lucy opted for our Gourmet BBQ Menu with the addition of antipasti platters for her guests to pick away throughout the afternoon.

This small and intimate celebration took place at the client’s home on Sunday and included 20 guests, made up of Lucy, her husband and their three children, the couple’s parents, siblings and nieces and nephews. Gratefully, the weather was on its very best behaviour on the day of the party, and if it weren’t for the bitter winds, you might have even mistaken it for a gorgeous summer afternoon!

Hog Roast Cockburnspath Shortly before the guests were due to make an appearance, Hog Roast Cockburnspath arrived at the client’s home, where they quickly launched themselves into setting up the grill underneath the catering gazebo before preparing the serving tables, which they quickly filled with bowls of gourmet coleslaw, Greek salad, condiments, dips, gluten-free rolls and wraps and bamboo charcuterie boards topped with deli meats, cheeses and artisan bread.

Then, over real flames, Steve and the crew prepared some of our sensational beef burgers, chicken kebabs, succulent sausages, sticky spareribs and vegetable and halloumi skewers. A tasty batch of mixed sweet potato and regular fries was the perfect way to round off this spread.

The guests arrived just as Hog Roast Cockburnspath had filled up the chafing dishes with the piping hot food, and they wasted no time getting stuck in! Each of the guests happily picked up a plate from the serving table and helped themselves to the mouth-watering selection on offer.

Just as Lucy had hoped, the food went down a treat with her family, and everyone had a great time!
