Hog Roast Affleck Won’t Let A Little Rain Spoil Your Wedding Day!

The rain was pelting it down last Saturday, but that didn’t stop the Hog Roast Affleck team from putting on an epic show for all those who attended Jason and Samantha’s wedding!

The happy couple had been eagerly looking forward to their big day from the moment Jason bent the knee last year, and while the pair had hoped for sunshine and clear skies, they were just happy to declare their love for one another in the presence of their friends and family – although, the torrential downpour did put a stop to any outdoor photo shoots they had planned. But as their parents reminded them, rain is known for signifying good luck at a wedding!

Our Hog Roast Affleck caterers were excited too, as they had been hired to craft a detailed menu for all of the 200 guests who had been invited to join the festivities. The menu Samantha and Jason had prompted for was our Formal Wedding Catering feast, which kicked off with a selection of tantalising canape options, consisting of pan-seared fillet of beef, roasted halloumi and tomato crostini, roasted duck, smoked Scottish salmon and mini quiche. Our serving staff also poured the reception drinks for the guests as they found their seats.

Hog Roast Affleck Once everyone was seated and ready to tuck into the main meal, Hog Roast Affleck served the homemade soup starter, which was closely followed by a bountiful buffet of slow-roasted pork with crackling, stuffing and applesauce; free-range chicken served with chipolata sausages and sage and onion stuffing; and a meat-free option of grilled vegetable kebabs with flatbreads and tzatziki dip. In addition to these, a variety of salads, coleslaw, dauphinoise potatoes and seasoned market vegetables were served alongside the mains for the guests to help themselves to.

Samantha and Jason’s guests thoroughly enjoyed being able to pick and choose what to add to their dinner plates, which ensured everyone was treated to something suited to their individual tastes. This stunning feast was rounded off with a choice of our delicious chocolate torte or homemade profiteroles, followed by a slice of the couple’s wedding cake.
