Bank Holiday Dining To Kick-Off August With Hog Roast Cupar

Hog Roast CuparWhile the rest of the UK has to wait for their August bank holiday to come at the end of the month, here in Scotland we have it in the first weekend. As an event caterer, we at Hog Roast Cupar reckon this is the far better deal. It comes in the first weekend of the month, everyone has just been paid, and it leads us nicely into the month where we still have all of August and the summer weather laying ahead of us. If you’re in Edinburgh, too, it also signals the beginning of the Edinburgh Fringe and the International Festival. All the more reason to throw an event and bring in the dining of Hog Roast Cupar!

Hog Roast CuparWith this bank holiday weekend we had more than a few of you call us in. While the long weekend was an excellent time for events, unfortunately the weather didn’t quite seem to get the memo that we were all out to enjoy a summer weekend. Instead of the prolonged days of sun and heat that we’ve enjoyed over the last few weeks, the rain and the wind reared its head again to spoil the party a little. That’s not too much of an issue for us here at Hog Roast Cupar, fortunately. Our style of dining and cooking allows us to be flexible with where we set up, but we know that many of our customers prefer to have their events outdoors – and we do too where possible. Still, we got the roaster going, the barbecues on, and we ensured that everyone with us was still able to enjoy their bank holiday parties up in Scotland to the fullest.

A long weekend calls for a bigger banquet. You’ve got that extra day to recuperate, after all, so why not enjoy a hog roast roll along with a burger, a juicy veg kebab skewer, a marinated rib, plenty of golden roast potatoes along with fries too, and a good helping of fresh salad, slaw, and even a dessert or to all courtesy of the Hog Roast Cupar team. You could forget the beach body for just one weekend – calories don’t count on bank holidays!
