When Dorothy contacted us to arrange the catering service for her mums 80th birthday party, our catering manager Steve immediately got to work preparing the perfect menu for the occasion. As the sun was set to be shining, outdoor catering was an ideal option- in particular, our Hog Roast Stratheden alfresco menu. The catering was for 20 guests of different ages, so the dishes also needed to be family-friendly and appealing to all. Our alfresco catering was the one!
On the day of the party, our catering team arrived in advance, to ensure that the three-course meal would be prepared by 14:00. The sharing platter starters are the star of this menu since they are unique and full of flavour. For the platters, we prepared a selection of fresh vegetables, gourmet cheese, sliced meats, and crusty bread- creating an incredible mixture of flavours and tastes. We then moved onto preparing the main, which consisted of a slow-roasted pig, served with roasted baby new potatoes and a variety of salad dishes. To finish off the menu, Dorothy selected lemon tart and cheesecake to be served with cream to the guests.
The guests arrived and were shown to their tables by our Hog Roast Stratheden waiting staff. We had set the tables with our wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery, which looks rustic and inviting. The guests were then served their meals tableside, to provide the perfect 80th birthday catering experience!
