If you’ve been keeping up with Hog Roast Shepley for a while, you might have heard that we added another fantastic venue to our list of trusted partners earlier this year. Kinkell Byre, a traditional Scottish barn with a twist, sits just a stone’s throw from St Andrews, boasting panoramic views across the coast and countryside. It’s rustic, relaxed and absolutely brimming with character just waiting to be shaped into someone’s dream day. Basically, this wedding venue has got everything going for it. So, when we heard that another couple were getting married at Kinkell Byre and were looking for a catering team to take care of their wedding breakfast, we were more than happy to get involved.

Like most couples, Kyle and Ellie had put a lot of thought into their wedding catering before they’d even picked up the phone, and one thing they were clear on was that they wanted a relaxed food service for their guests. Something people could enjoy at their own pace and even eat on the move, if that’s what they wanted. Hog Roast Shepley had just the thing…
Knowing that nothing relaxes people quicker than a charcuterie platter, Hog Roast Shepley put together an entire grazing table for this celebration. Italian meats, cheeses, crusty breads, fruit slices, dips and more were all beautifully presented across a wooden table with tiered stands adding more interest and dimension to the spread. The eye-catching display had everyone crowding round in no time at all and guests happily indulged before making a b-line for the main buffet.

For the wedding breakfast itself, Hog Roast Shepley served our Gourmet BBQ Menu, which was packed with the sort of food that fits a relaxed celebration perfectly. Beef burgers, meat and vegetarian sausages, Thai chicken kebabs, vegetable kebabs and sticky ribs were served alongside Greek salad, pasta salad and roasted baby new potatoes.
The guests certainly seemed to approve, with barely a scrap left by the time the evening guests arrived. But we weren’t finished just yet. To keep the night going, we served up cones of fish and chips with salt, vinegar and sauces, followed by a tea and coffee station for anyone in need of a little pick-me-up.
Kyle and Ellie were over the moon with how everything came together and told us the catering was even better than they had imagined. And honestly, compliments don’t get much better than that.
