Faced with scrapping their original plans or delaying their wedding indefinitely, they made the decision to completely re-think their wedding reception so they could get married as soon as small weddings were allowed to go ahead again. This meant securing a new venue, cutting their guest list in half and finding a catering company who could give them a top-quality menu without being hampered by the strict procedures that they had to follow in order to provide catering services safely and in compliance with current guidelines. Rather than having to accept a limited selection of options and compromise on what they wanted, Julia and Paul were delighted with the breadth and variety of Hog Roast Isle of Mull’s wedding menus! They decided on a chic 3 course meal for their intimate wedding reception, which included one of our signature hog roasts with some inventive seasonal side dishes, along with a light and flavoursome salad Niçoise to start, which was the perfect starter for a summer wedding, before finishing off with not one but two delicious desserts! We rustled everything up at their venue on the day using top-quality locally sourced produce from our impressive larder! We also gave a warm welcome to the small wedding party and friendly and efficient table service, ensuring social distancing was adhered to throughout the reception meal. The newlyweds had a lovely day and thanked the Hog Roast Isle of Mull team for the crucial part we played in making them feel that their alternative wedding reception was just as special as their original one would have been!
