Here at Hog Roast Fort William, we are becoming such a popular choice for wedding catering in the local area thanks to our ability to provide freshly made, restaurant quality food in a wide array of outdoor settings. This is always a great option for brides and grooms who don’t want to have their reception in a conventional venue but still want the high quality food they deserve for their special day. This was definitely the case for Lucy and Ryan, the latest happy couple we catered for. They had decided to have an outdoor wedding, but given the time of year, they didn’t want to rely on the weather being good, so they hired a huge tepee for their 150 wedding guests.
They chose us because they loved our wedding menu options and were impressed with our ability to produce an elegant 3 course meal, plus a canape welcome reception, in what was effectively a large tent in the middle of a field! They were even more impressed when we told them that we would also make every part of their menu from scratch using only the finest ethically-reared meat and locally sourced ingredients!
Whilst the wedding party were busy at the marriage ceremony, the Hog Roast Fort William team had already spent several hours at the venue preparing our stylish 3 course menu, which included a smoked salmon starter, a classic hog roast served with crackling and succulent sirloin of beef with red wine jus and horseradish sauce, all accompanied by seasonal vegetables and rosemary roast potatoes.
When the newlyweds and their guests arrived our friendly front of house team were ready to greet everyone with platters of our tasty nibbles, including prawn skewers, mini quiches and mini gourmet sausages. When everyone was ready for the main meal, we provided our usual level of attentive table service and made sure everyone was happy and tucking in!
