Of course, in true Scottish fashion, that’s all over. Winter has arrived, and so has the dreich weather: blusterous winds, torrential rain showers, moody skies – the whole works! Our team are happy to brave the elements if it means giving our customers and clients a fantastic time – especially as hog roasts (more specifically, our hog roasts!) are perfect for combatting this awful weather, and we know from experience that your guests will love cosying up with this classic soul food.
Just last weekend, we pulled on our winter warmers and headed out to help our client, Sean, with his 30th birthday party. The client didn’t have enough room inside his home for all of our equipment, so our catering manager, Steve, set up our three-sided waterproof events gazebo, which kept our team and the food dry.
The weather was particularly bleak, so the client and his guests remained inside, where they celebrated the occasion by knocking back boozy drinks, laughing and joking and performing karaoke classics. Hog Roast Cardenden had also prepared a savoury grazing table for everyone to pick away at before the main meal was ready, which included crackers, nuts, crisps, breadsticks and a platter of cold-cut deli meats and cheeses.
The low temperatures definitely made this service a little harder for Hog Roast Cardenden, as when it’s cold, the food takes longer to cook, but fortunately, they had prepared themselves for this, and their planning meant that the food was still ready exactly when the client needed it to be.
Sean was over the moon with the traditional hog roast rolls and gorgeous-tasting sides that Hog Roast Cardenden prepared, and he couldn’t thank our team enough for all of their hard work, which resulted in his party being a resounding success.
