The Perthshire town of Auchterarder was known throughout Medieval Europe as ‘the town of 100 drawbridges’ but the town was unfortunately burnt down by the Jacobites during a siege in the 1700s and it remained in a state of decline for many years afterwards. The Industrial Revolution brought Auchterarder back to life however, and it began to prosper in the 18th Century due to its thriving handloom industry, the construction of a railway station connecting it to the mainline and the opening of one of its famous golf courses in 1892.
Today Auchterarder is a popular shopping destination with an abundance of independent shops and tea rooms along its expansive 1.5 mile long high street and it is said to have some of the highest house prices in Scotland. It is also home to the world famous Gleneagles Hotel, which boasts 3 championship golf courses, a luxury spa and the only restaurant in the whole of Scotland to have 2 Michelin stars.
The Best Hog Roasts In Auchterarder
Auchterarder is a fantastic place in which to enjoy the great outdoors and indulge in a spot of luxury, and here at Hog Roast Auchterarder, we can provide you with both of these things. Many catering companies may claim to be fully mobile, but in reality, there are some locations that they are not equipped to cater at. The Hog Roast Auchterarder team do not have this problem, as our hog roast machines are the most robust and versatile pieces of equipment available, which means nowhere is off limits for our travelling kitchen and no menu is too complex for our multiskilled Chefs.
We can offer you restaurant-standard food that is beautifully presented and served to you in a style that is befitting to your event, whilst giving you the freedom to enjoy it in any indoor or outdoor location. If you want to enjoy opulent food in a scenic setting, with a multitude of menus to choose from, Hog Roast Auchterarder is your number one choice in the local area for superior hog roasts and bespoke catering packages that will make your special occasion a unique and memorable experience.

It always starts with “just a few people round” and before you know it the drinks are out, and everyone’s fully invested from kick off to final whistle.
Best to have the food sorted so you’re not off on a kitchen run when the pressure’s on… no one wants to miss a last minute penalty!
Good food, good company, and a proper match day atmosphere 😋
