Growing up in Scotland means you collect a little library of sayings you don’t realise you’ve memorised until December rolls around and they all come back out to play. We’re not complaining, though. Some traditions deserve to be carried on.
So, from all of us here at Hog Roast Scotland, lang may yer lum reek. May your chimney smoke for many years to come… preferably because you’re too busy enjoying good company and good food to let it go out!
With a brand new year peeking its head round the corner, we wanted to raise a glass – nay, a fork – to every single one of you. Whether you booked us once, booked us ten times, or are still thinking about taking the plunge into the wonderful world of hog roasts, we’re sending you nothing but health, happiness and full bellies. That last one, of course, Hog Roast Scotland is more than happy to assist with.
And what a year 2025 turned out to be. It feels almost unreal looking back at the sheer volume of events, celebrations and unforgettable characters we’ve had the joy of meeting. From weddings that had us choking up behind the serving table to birthday bashes that nearly had the hog dancing, we’ve been spoiled with moments that we won’t forget in a hurry. This year really has earned its spot in the Hog Roast Scotland hall of fame.
But true to form, standing still isn’t really our thing. We can’t help it, we’re fidgeters by nature. While everyone else is easing into the end-of-year lull we’re already scribbling down ideas, arguing (politely) over menus and wondering how on earth we’re going to top some of the stuff we pulled off this year. But we love a good challenge.
