If you read our blogs regularly then you might remember our post from a few weeks ago, where we talked about our plans to attend the Perth Wedding Exhibition? Well, last Saturday was the big day and our team is still buzzing from all the excitement!
As the largest wedding fair in Perth, Hog Roast Scotland had high hopes that this was going to be a belter of a day. But it turned out even better than we could have imagined. From the moment the doors opened, the place was absolutely jumping. Dozens of exhibitors filled the space – florists showing off their dreamy bouquets, photographers snapping their best candids, celebrants talking couples through ceremony ideas, and venue reps giving virtual tours of some of Scotland’s top wedding spots. And then there was us.
Hog Roast Scotland’s team, headed up by Steven, was on top form as they tackled each couple’s all-important catering questions. Also, we were so, so proud of how our stall turned out. We didn’t offer a hog roast this time, but we set up a table with quirky pig vases that immediately caught people’s attention. We had crisp packets for guests to nibble on while chatting (crispy bacon frazzles, naturally), pink sweetie cones (very on brand), a freshly prepared charcuterie board, and even some dessert samples. The whole setup was a real crowd-puller and definitely sparked plenty of curiosity!
Couples were stopping by all day to talk menus, portion sizes, presentation ideas, and vegan or vegetarian options. Some had already been following us on social media, and for a few, a quick chat with Steven was all it took to lock in their wedding catering plans. It was brilliant to see so many smiles and excited faces – and to know that we might be part of their big day.
By the time the doors closed, Hog Roast Scotland was absolutely elated (and yes, a little tired!). It was such a fun, hectic, and rewarding day. Meeting so many lovely couples, answering questions, and seeing our little stall make an impression reminded us exactly why we love what we do.
